NeuStar, Inc. (NYSE: NSR) today announced that it has partnered with Mobinex to deliver live data services over NeuStar's leading mobile Instant Messaging (IM) applications. The combined solution - which NeuStar will demonstrate at Stand #7C58 in Hall 7 at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona beginning Monday, February 11 - will help mobile operators to promote new data services, increase average revenue per user (ARPU), and provide a richer mobile experience.
Mobinex, the global provider of on-device solutions, integrated its Smartface platform with NeuStar's mobile IM platform. The integrated solution will enable users to access data services whilst in an IM conversation through a one-click access button called "Live Tab." Users will be able to select from a range of services from downloads, ringtones, news, and mobile TV without leaving their IM session. In addition, operators will be able to deliver immediate data services within the IM client, delivering a better user experience whilst creating awareness around new operator services.
Allen Scott, general manager at NeuStar Next Generation Messaging, said: "Delivering a rich user experience is key to successful mobile services. IM is instant and 'chatty' by nature, and communicating users don't want to have to dip in and out of their IM session. In this way, the Live Tab solution is a great cross-selling opportunity for operators."

The Live Tab solution will be offered with the NeuStar Instant Messaging suite, and will be available on a series of J2ME-supported devices.
